Parking lot lighting has utilized the same foundation for decades. While light poles now include other technologies such as cameras, solar panels, and WIFI, the pole base has remained a solid block of concrete. In current situations, property owners add unsightly boxes to the poles, which damages the structure of the light pole. IPB recognized the pole base as an optimal location to store electronics & technology, and that it also needed to provide structural integrity, so they set out to create a solution.
The Intelligent Pole Base is designed and engineered from steel to support the total weight of the pole and any items that are added in the future to the light pole, including digital signage, cameras, EV charging stations, and countless other new technologies. In addition, each base comes with a steel skin and a steel door that is fully secure with a dual-pin cabinet door deadbolts.
Installing an Intelligent Pole Base today creates an esthetically pleasing storage area within the base of a light pole, and allows property owners the ability to install add-on features and amenities whenever required, without detracting from the overall beauty of their properties.
